while supply of USD is manipulated, its important to recognize that price of BTC is also manipulated. And when considering a marketcap of only $1.1T, it is far more susceptible. Other than that little bit of intellectual honesty, I agree with everything you said. It's like a weird transition. I've actually been trying to retrain myself to think in BTC demonimation.
