I have read The War of Art many times, retuning to it for the pep talk or the tough talk. Thank you for bringing if forth for me again this morning. Pressfield’s words always compel me to get in gear!
Thank you so much. Was procrastinating with my email box this very morning. But your recommendation was a procrastination I needed. I have work to do. I need that book, badly, and I'll get it as the first step. Combination of terror and dislike preventing me from my work currently (the former for work I want to do, the latter for work I've been asked to do). I will be interested to find out if the 'asked to do' work has a solution in this book. I'd love to stop hating it.
Kezza, for the “work you want to do,” one thing that has worked well for us to push through the resistance, is to think of one small step you can take consistently everyday. Once you have that one small step in mind, cut it in half. That should make it totally doable, and not at all terrorizing. Then focus on consistency. 👍
Pomp, thanks for this summary! Much of what you wrote echoed what we’ve worked through over the last year as we started our own podcast and Substack. This sound like a book we’ll being picking up soon!
Check out the genesis council and Arthur Kwon Lee for beautiful art.
Will check it out. Thanks!

I feel like I will re-visit this one many times. We all need a little reminder from time to time
All good books are worth rereading. Thanks for your high endorsement of this book.
Will listen to this again & again in the next few week to anchor it.
Read the book 2 years ago, but it's nice to revisit it.
Merci

Sometimes we all need a kick in the ass to start working on what is most important

Terrific summarizing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The book’s ideas are amazing. Resistance was very pragmatically synthesized.

I have gone back and relistened to sink the lesson in my DNA. The slogan "Just Do It" has lasted the test of time because of its simple truth.
Wow! What an eye opener. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed this one, Chris.
