Loved this point. It's something that boomers just don't get though (in general). I wonder if us millennials won't understand the new best investment our kids are talking about when we're old timers.

Bitcoin's popularity is more closely tied to speculative investment and the appeal of rapid gains rather than being a counterweight to housing. Many investors see it as a high-risk, high-reward asset class rather than a practical alternative to owning real estate. When SHTF at least you can stay in a house, with the bitcoin what are you going to do?

Pomp, "Boomers had housing, millennials have bitcoin." Why don't Boomers leverage their home wealth into Bitcoin? Build generational wealth?

Borrowing money for a home or car is likely to hurt you. Buying Bitcoin is safer. Just rent, and invest the little you have left over. I don't mind renting for the rest of my life. I don't think most Americans want to live in America to begin with, so what difference would it make? Do you really want to take a 30 year mortgage on a property Putin can just nuke whenever he wants? That's risky. Crypto is safe, compared to that.

This is a great point that I never quite thought about but I am this person. I’m in my early 40s.

I starting saving in BTC starting 2018.

It helped me to be able to buy a home in 2021 as I sold half my stack to be able to do so.

I have continued to save in BTC. I never would have had my house or the nest egg I now have without saving in BTC.

It’s too simple, work hard, stay humble, stack Sats.
