"There will be questions related to ethics and conflicts of interest." Let's hope there is. Seems a bit ridiculous that a POTUS should get to mint Billions of dollars for his family overnight.
There will be questions. And unfortunately, there will be few answers to them and even less accountability.
It's wild how Mr. Pompliano can in one sentence admit that this administration will bring uncertainty and chaos and in the next say that the stock market will hit new highs. The one thing we should all know that the markets hate is uncertainty. I think everyone will be in for a bumpy ride. Which is exactly what the rich in this country want. Because they have capital lying around they can put to use buying up more of the housing supply, critical infrastructure, and everything else they can get their hands on. And the poor will get poorer.
"I am incredibly optimistic about the future of America. It was inspiring to see so many smart, influential tech leaders at the inauguration yesterday."

Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg are closing in on a combined net worth of $1 trillion. Anthony says, "They earned their money." "They create jobs." "They work hard." ...as if the asparagus picker or dishwasher doesn't work hard... as if Wall Street equity firms colluding with RealPage to artificially keep rent high is "fake news." To top it off, if you're not rich, "You're a loser in the peanut gallery."
Chaos and an "uncertain" market will lead to hundreds of billions of dollars in subsidies and "quantitative easing" for the rich. Turn the money printer on. Crony-Capitalism socializes costs and privatizes profits. Banks and corporations are too big to fail but Medicare For All? Who's going to pay for it?
Exactly. Despite Anthony's thinly veiled neutrality, he is MAGA. We've all watched his YouTube videos over the years. He condemns petty crime but praised Sam Bankman-Fried. He condemns entitlement programs but praises "quantitative easing," and his blind praise of Trump and tech billionaires come at the expense of the working class. He doesn't give damn what happens to the masses.
Meanwhile, Israeli regulators approved a deal that gave Kushner nearly 10 percent ownership in Phoenix Financial Ltd, a major Israeli finance and insurance firm, making him the company’s largest shareholder.
“Gaza is beautiful. On the sea. Great weather. Fantastic things can be done with Gaza.” - Donald Trump
Crazy, the business entity of Trump which owns his brand launches a piece of electronic art, called a meme coin and some people are up in arms. I don't see anything wrong here. If they had launched Trump Bobbleheads and made billions no one would care. The issue here is that people are considering this an investment, because that is the way all the crypto people think. It is not an investment.
I bought one trump coin because it is an historic event. I will always own it whether it goes to zero or a thousand per coin. The people that are upset because the Trump name has so much value attached to it are just envious.
I wish I could launch a meme coin and get that kind of pay back, but I have not spent a lifetime building my name in the public. The Trump organization is reaping their rewards and I see no problem in it. No one put a gun to anyone's head to buy and nowhere did they ever make a forward looking statement that it is some kind of investment that will grow in value. It is not.
It is electronic junk that many people want to own just like they may want to own a poster by KISS from 1979 and pay $30 for a piece of paper that came with the album for free. Get a grip on yourselves this is not an invesment product and don't look at it that way. This is a collectible.Much more interesting to me than Bored Apes.
"I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time, when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness."
Don't know about your take on Solana. The Trump family have been aping into ETH and it appears to be their largest holding. They launched $TRUMP on Solana because Ethereum can't cope with that kind of volume.
Solid rundown of the facts and issues raised about the Trump meme coin. I feels unseemly for a politician to be able to do this in office as they should not be distracted by a profit motive when they are elected to represent constituents. Quite by design I am sure, $TRUMP was launched before he took office. It may be true that $TRUMP will do better over the long run if Trump were to leave office as a valued former President than an unpopular one- maybe this provides an incentive for him that others have not had!
Wild that they then dropped Melania the next day too! Definitely smells of opportunistic rug pull. I was almost waiting for him to mention it in his inauguration speech…

There's a lot to be optimistic about.

what is your point here.
... and he sees Bitcoin as a solution to the financial smoke and mirrors that has gone on throughout history.
I don't think you'll find he is in support of QE or the irresponsible actions of Wall St that led to it. He's just rolling with it.

Well said, Miguel. I agree wholeheartedly. 👏🏆

I love Trump but, come on, this is a very bad look.

An Ok read. Some shallow takes because pandering and escaping accountability are new sales tactics but keep it coming Anthony.

Great read. If he does add utility that would help legitimize meme coins which would be huge.
