This all makes sense to me. On the other hand, there's a narrative out there that unmeasurable inflation is surging in the US economy.

Basically: everything is crappier and cheaper. It could just be vibes, but I do see garbage everywhere.

Can you imagine anything normal people buying today ending up something there kids will want when they're gone?

Hard to put this in numbers, though.

Western countries need others to buy treasuries in order to finance ever expanding budgets. If Japanese bond rates are high all those savers will move their cash back home.
